It takes a full‑range audio signal and divides it into separate low‑frequency and high‑frequency bands, directing each to the appropriate driver for optimal performance and minimal distortion. With a 500 W RMS power capacity and 8 Ω nominal impedance, this crossover is suitable for mid‑power speaker cabinets featuring larger woofers and compatible tweeters.

Built with high‑quality metallised polyester capacitors and low‑resistance coils, the C‑500/450 provides reliable, durable performance under demanding use. A PTC‑based protection circuit is included in the high‑pass section to protect the HF driver from overload during high‑output operation.
